Our host, Toshi, did an excellent job touring us around Kamakura. She takes her time to explain the shrines, temples and local sites. She provides insight into the culture and history that you would not get if you were visiting on your own. Lastly, she was a very pleasant and kind person who went out of her way to make our tour special. We, Dave, Deron, and I thank you and would love to visit again using her tour service for our next time in Kamakura.

Thank you for a memorable and relaxing experience! Akito, who came from a long line of tea farmers, made the whole thing feel so personal and authentic. Walking through the beautiful tea fields, learning how the leaves are grown and processed, and interesting tea facts gave me a whole new appreciation for tea. Akito let us try different types of tea and even taught us what gives tea its umami, astringency, sweetness and bitterness. I left with some amazing tea and a newfound respect for the craft. So glad I did the tour!

The best part of the tour was the guide, Jaye Jaye. It was so refreshing to hang out with a fellow foodie. And it wouldn’t have been as enjoyable if she didn’t speak both English and Nihongo (Japanese). She was a very fun tour guide!
