Tonami
Nabe / Sukiyaki / Shabu Shabu
Beautifully crafted, multi-course Japanese meal inside the peaceful confines of Kagurazaka, Tokyo’s historic geisha district.
Restaurant Details
Nestled in the cobblestone back alleys of Kagurazaka's historic geisha district, Tonami offers a serene kaiseki dining experience that captures the essence of a Japanese township. Here, locals chat with the chef over beautifully plated dishes: fried crab, steamed red seabream, tofu and so much more. In one of their private rooms, diners enjoy close-knit gatherings.
Tonami brings each season to life with fresh ingredients sourced from across the country, vividly presented in each dish. The menu, whether for lunch or dinner, is ever-changing to reflect the seasonal offerings. While they offer a sukiyaki course, the true highlights are the sashimi and seafood dishes, including delicately fried fugu and a selection of the finest sashimi, freshly delivered from the market each morning.
For those celebrating special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, don’t forget the glass of champagne for a festive toast.
