Umenohana is Japanese traditional cuisine restaurant specializing in yuba (bean curd skin) and tofu.
Restaurant Details
Umenohana is a restaurant that prides itself in specializing in tofu and yuba dishes. Tofu is one of the most popular and healthy dishes in Japan. Yuba is quite similar; basically a tofu skin that forms on the surface of soy milk when it is boiled.
At Umenohana, you can enjoy freshly-made tofu and yuba in different ways and with a variety of textures. You can even see yuba being made before your eyes. The tofu and yuba dishes they serve make the most of the original sweet taste of the soybeans.
Other than tofu and yuba dishes, they also have wagyu beef, tempura, and sashimi, all of which use seasonal ingredients. They will prepare and serve dishes with Japanese “omotenashi” (hospitality) spirit. You are sure to become a tofu lover after dining at Umenohana!
The main branch is located in Fukuoka prefecture, and there are more than 70 branches all over Japan. Lunches range from ¥1,900, and full-course dinners from ¥3,600. To-go bento boxes are also available.
