Gyokuro is known for its strong umami flavors and is grown by cutting off up to 98% of the plant's sunlight. Hakuyocha, a sweet, white leaf tea, makes up the other part of this unique blend. Only 10kg (2.2lb) of this tea is cultivated each year.
