My favourite dish was the eel. Eel is an unique dish that you do not have the chance to enjoy most of the time. The tenderness of the fish, cooked by experienced chefs made it an incredibly enjoyable meal. The portion of all the food was incredibly filling, and the the guide was enthusiastic.

My host Hibi was really amazing and I have had a great time around the area of Kichijoji, which is really worth a visit. Hibi was not only very familiar with the neighbourhood (and she is also known by many people in the neighbourhood) but also impressed me with her knowledge. I highly recommend this tour, even if you haven't been to Shibuya or Shinjuku yet: Tokyo has so much to offer: A detour to less popular parts of the city, but no less exciting for that, is definitely worthwhile.

While admitedly the brewery was out of the way, this expierence was certainly worth the trip! We were lucky enough to have a more intimate tour on the day of our visit and the quality and depth of knowledge from the brewery staff was excellent. Kumi, our guide/host/interpreter, was also incredibly kind and helpful. The tasting was informative and unique since there were certain kinds of sake that we had simply never had the chance to sample before. Overall, my wife and I went in feeling fairly knowledgable about the process and we still walked away learning alot. Another highlight was the opportunity to eat lunch afterwards near by at an udon shop run by a 90 year old woman who was still going strong. It was like eating a home cooked meal at your grandmother's house, give yourself time and get lunch there if you can! 11/10 would drink all the sake again!
