The host family were super friendly. Even if you don’t know or know little japanese, they make huge efforts (using translation apps) to communicate with you.
During this stay, i learnt about the true origins of Matsusaka beef (actually from Taiki!) and got to taste a huge sukiyaki feast cooked with vege gathered from their local farm and water from a nearby mountain source.
The house is also clean and comfortable with toilet, bedding, kitchen and amenities.
I am so touched by their hospitality (they even prepared onigiri for me the next morning for my next journey), i will return again with family!!
Thank you so much, i wont forget this experience..

Very friendly hosts, lots of food with a huge portion of Matsusaka beef. The hosts brought us to a nearby onsen and even made us takeaway lunch for the following day. We managed to communicate with the hosts easily through the use of language translation app. 100% recommended!!!

Farm-to-Table Matsusaka Beef Sukiyaki at a Farmer’s Inn was the highlight of my wife and my Japan trip! They are so kind and accommodating. We did not speak Japanese very well, but with some help from translate apps, communication was not a problem. We learned so much about Matsusaka and ate so much good food!
The room was very spacious and had a full kitchen, loft, and bedroom. We were greeted with a warm welcoming of matcha tea, and other treats!
We got to go down to the mountains and drink straight from the spring, and then pick vegetables, which we later used to help make dinner—a truly enjoyable experience…but not as enjoyable as eating it! It was so delicious!
We are looking forward to our next encounter with them the next time we can visit Japan.
