Yoko was a very friendly and warm instructor. The class was a mixture of side dishes and sushi and was varied in what we were doing. Everything was prepared so that the class ran smoothly. Toshie was knowledgeable and kind. Pictures and videos were taken of me throughout so I can remember the experience and the techniques of preparing sushi. I was able to take home the recipes and Toshie kindly said that I could reach out to her in the future if I needed help with the recipes. 10/10 would recommend this class to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese cooking experience with an approachable, friendly and well-informed teacher.

Yoko-san is a delight to learn from, with inside experience of the cultural traditions that makes modern sushi. She's also quite entertaining, and after we finished cooking and sat to eat, she shared her vast experience of the trees and local nature of Japan. The bottom line is that every bite of the food we made together was beyond totemo oishii.
