We had a lovely evening with Yoko-san making gyoza and ramen. She was well prepared for the evening and was able to accommodate a shellfish sensitivity and vegetarian request so we made ramen with a vegan base which was very tasty. Yoko-san was very patient with our gyoza making and although we had a few malformed gyoza in the mix the taste was just as good. It was a fun evening and offered a great chance to try something different while we were in Japan.

Yoko-sensei was absolutely amazing! She had a wealth of knowledge about Japanese and worldly cuisine, and we would have happily sat there and spoken to her for hours. She put us at ease, and was keen to hear about our own food culture. She was incredibly helpful and encouraging whilst we were cooking, and we're pretty sure that Osaka-style okonomiyaki will be a staple at home now. Domo arigatou gozaumasu!

My husband and I received the cooking class as a gift for our wedding which we thoroughly enjoyed. Max was very friendly and welcoming, teaching us not only to make Takoyaki but also sample some delicious Karaage and Yakisoba. The class was very relaxed and informal making it an enjoyable experience. Max was not only a great host for the cooking class but also willing to provide wider advice and recommendations for Osaka. Saeko was a really great host/instructor. Her house was comfortable and she was great at getting everyone involved in the cooking process. The ramen we prepared tasted really good, same with the gyoza. Saeko had some great resources to explain how ramen is made, it's cultural significance and the difference between home made ramen and restaurant ramen. Would highly recommend.
