Restaurant Details

Make sure to reserve your seat nice and early for this artisan tempura restaurant in Kawasaki. The chef’s reputation is growing bigger by the day due to the quality of his crisp batter, and the inventive streak he brings to the style.

Fifteen pieces of tempura feature on the chef’s choice set menu, including creative bites such as sea urchin wrapped in kelp then fried, and tuna tempura. All of the favorites are also on offer too, including the obligatory (and delicious) shrimp, asparagus, shiitake mushrooms, conger eel, and oysters.

Tempura done to this standard is a world away from the usual street corner varieties. Perfect tempura cooking technique maximizes the natural flavors of the ingredients, complemented by the crispness of the fried batter.

If you want to experience this superior style of deep frying for yourself, Mikasa is a great place to go.
