It was a very unique and wonderful experience. Maria is a very cheerfull teacher, she was very patient with me. We made Dashi, Dashimaki Tamago (japanese rolled omelet) and Onigiri. She explained to me the importance of Dashi in the japanese cuisine. We was able to talk about lot of things about Japan. Being able to cook in the shrine is an unique experience. I was also able to get the Goshuin of this shrine by Maria. I highly recommend this experience! For the little plus, the shrine is quite peaceful, there are trees around it that make shadows, that makes it quite enjoyable even during summer.

My cooking lesson with Yuka was perfect! She was very organized, her instructions were very clear, and time was well managed. The food I learned to make was delicious and easy enough that I feel confident I can make it again when I return home, and no now I have the recipes she gave me to help. I’m very happy with my experience.

We really enjoyed the cooking class with Michi and Aki. They are really friendly and explained very well what we needed to do. We cooked yummy crispy gyoza and sushi rolls that we then ate with a miso soup. The kitchen is a central location, easy to find and very cozy. We had a great time with my daughter !

Tokyo is a bustling metropolis known not just for its cutting-edge technology and vibrant culture, but also for its culinary delights. For those seeking gluten-free options, the city offers a plethora of food experiences that cater to your needs without compromising on taste. Among these culinary treasures is the beloved Japanese egg dish, tamagoyaki. Known for its slightly sweet flavor and soft texture, tamagoyaki is a must-try for anyone exploring Japan's culinary landscape. In this article, we highlight some of the best gluten-free food experiences in Tokyo where you can savor this delightful dish.

Savor Authentic Tamagoyaki with a Gluten-Free Twist

Tamagoyaki, an essential item in traditional Japanese breakfasts and obento boxes, is a simple yet flavorful dish made by rolling thin layers of seasoned eggs. For those with gluten intolerance, finding a safe version of this dish can be challenging due to the presence of soy sauce that often contains gluten. However, Tokyo's dining scene offers a variety of gluten-free eateries where you can enjoy tamagoyaki without worry. Many chefs now use tamari or other gluten-free soy sauce alternatives, ensuring you can indulge in this classic Japanese dish safely. These establishments are not just certified by health departments but also prioritize the health and wellbeing of their patrons by maintaining stringent kitchen protocols to avoid cross-contamination.

A Culinary Journey Through Tokyo's Gluten-Free Scene

Apart from tamagoyaki, many of these gluten-free restaurants and cafes offer a wide variety of traditional Japanese dishes such as sushi, sashimi, and even ramen, all prepared carefully with gluten-free ingredients.
