We were seated right at the teppanyaki counter, directly in front of the grill. The room holds only a handful of seats, which makes the whole evening feel private and unhurried. The chef is warm and easy to talk to, the ingredients are clearly high quality, and every dish was delicious. A memorable evening from start to finish. Highly recommended.

An unassuming entrance that is genuinely hard to find, but a warm welcome the moment you step inside. Chef Makoto's technique and timing were remarkable throughout. The sesame tofu converted me on a dish I usually skip, and the Daisen chicken soup was outstanding, with real depth and a lovely thyme aroma. The tasting menu flowed beautifully from course to course, and the chef walked us through each local ingredient before it hit the plate. Good soft drink options too. Thank you to Chef Makoto and the byFood team.

Great Yakitori experience at 🇯🇵🐔Yakitori Sei (Yakitori Sei 焼鳥 清(せい). Chef Sei always starts his omakase courses off with a skewer of Hinaiji chicken thigh meat from Akita Prefecture. Juicy and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommended place! Located just northeast of Yotsuya-sanchome Station.
