We had an amazing experience with Satoko. Her class is exceptionally well delivered and she provided a great background on the cultural significance of mochi as well as the techniques to make it. She went over and beyond to make it a memorable experience and I will be recommending this class to any friends visiting Tokyo!

I joined this tour with my brother and girlfriend, and from the start we could tell it was going to be something special. We even met another really cool attendee along the way, which made the whole experience feel like a fun group of friends exploring Harajuku together. This was hands-down one of the best tours I’ve ever joined, and it’s all thanks to Shizuka. She’s not only warm and welcoming, but an incredible guide who knows exactly how to balance fun, food, and fascinating insights. What really stood out was her ability to bring Harajuku to life through stories, historical and cultural context, and quirky fun facts that you’d never find just walking the streets on your own. It felt like discovering the neighborhood with a close friend who happens to be an expert. The food stops were perfectly chosen, and the highlight of the tour was rolling up our sleeves to make okonomiyaki together. Cooking side-by-side while enjoying all-you-can-drink was such a fun and memorable bonding experience for the whole group. Everyone was smiling, chatting, and genuinely impressed by how smoothly everything was organized. Shizuka has a real gift for making people feel included and engaged. By the end, it felt less like a tour and more like a shared adventure with friends. We ate amazing food, learned so much, and left with wonderful memories.
