Saiki

Located in Ebisu, just one station south of Tokyo, this small alleyway izakaya has been running for over 40 years, and has seen the area around it become a thriving center of dining and drinking. They continue to hold their own against the modern big guns, maintaining an old-school charm that just can’t be faked. Think chalkboard menus, tightly-packed diners, and traditional izakaya small plates. In fact, they only serve small plates, in true Japanese gastropub fashion. You can either grab a seat at the counter, or at one of two tables. A few small dishes are included with your table charge: sashimi, soup, and a salad. If you want to keep eating, you can enjoy favorites like fried fish, crab croquette, and shaved-ice sake in a shot glass!
