Restaurant Details
Akasaka is known as a more mature version of the nightlife districts of Shibuya and Roppongi, with classier entertainment options suitable for an older clientele. Chemins is an upscale French restaurant that capitalizes on this adult atmosphere to provide one of the best fine dining experiences in the area, which is relatively gentle on the wallet.
The owner, Satoru Shibata, used to work as a professional sommelier, and now he uses his expertise to maintain a cellar of over 500 carefully-selected bottles, predominantly hailing from Europe.
When setting up his establishment, he enlisted the help of Chef Satoru Nobusada, who comes from Okayama. He leads the way in sourcing top ingredients from around the country, and transforming them into classic French dishes. A meal here is concluded with offerings from the cheese cart, which you can take your pick of for an extra fee.
The interior is plain yet elegant, with the feel of a classy Lyon bistro, making this a perfect place for special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays.
