Promoting itself as an experience rather than a restaurant, Eightyone spares no expense in providing their guests with an original, unique and intriguing ride, through its distinctive courses. Located in Nishi-Azabu, there are only twelve seats in the whole space, surrounded by black walls, and each dish is accompanied by a piece of soothing music to match. Chef-owner Takeshi Nagashima will personally greet his guests at the beginning before the experience begins, and will explain in great detail each course. Tables are set close enough to the kitchen to view the professional preparation of the dishes, making this a meal to excite all of the five senses. Conveying the message of seeing life in death itself, from the decor of the restaurant of the jet-black dining setting to the concept of wanting customers to feel alive while eating the dishes, Eightyone is not only a restaurant with original concepts but delicious food to pair.
