We had an incredible experience at the sushi-making class! The sushi master was really fantastic, with amazing skill and excellent communication. He walked us through each step with patience, sharing a number of sushi styles, techniques and tips that made the whole process feel easy. The interpreter was fantastic as well, making communication smooth and ensuring that nothing was lost in translation. The whole class was a fun and educational experience. Highly recommend this class for anyone wanting to learn the art of sushi from a true master!

We had a very nice day starting with the fish market and a chance to see a lot of the street food in the area. From there, we went to our class and had a lot of fun learning how to make sushi. I would have to say the only issue for folks that don’t travel, is getting back to their hotel. Luckily, we avid travelers and were able to figure out the Subway system to get back to the other side of the city, which took twostation changes.

Naoto was a great guide. My friend and I ended up being the only ones on the tour so it was like we had our own private tour guide. Naoto took us to eat sushi, wagu beef, takoyaki, karaage, and dorayaki. Although the food was good, I was hoping that we got to eat something different that would introduce us to a new Japanese dish/food. One of the restaurants that we went to, Gyu-Kaku, is a chain that we also have in America, which I’ve been to before so I was hoping to eat at a restaurant that I haven’t been to that was unique to Japan. This is why I gave this tour a 4 stars and not 5 stars.

Hiromi was an excellent guide once again. Love how she was attentive to things I liked by asking questions and even changing up the tour on the fly as I was the only one on the tour. I experienced hidden gems of a restaurants e.g. sky scaper restaurant serving Hokkaido with tremendous views of Tokyo, but equally felt like a local going restaurant that the locals would go.

Class was good. I wish there was more hands on with preparing sushi from the start starting with rice and cutting fish. Also the class had a 2 hour slot but it was only an hour which was disappointing. Even with a decent class the instructors were extremely nice and welcoming. He had a lot of knowledge just wasn’t a 2 hour class as stated.
