An extra special Japanese experience. Took the family and had a great time. We learned some history and traditions surrounding mochi. We made several delicious desserts. Our hosts were very kind, and well organized. Overall a great experience.

It was such an educational learning experience. My friend and I were very lucky to be the only participants and we were blessed to have Miyuki sensei to guide us through. She was patient in guiding us through the process of making our nerikiri. Her spoken English was fluent and she shared selflessly her knowledge of wagashi making and tea ceremony. We learnt so much! This experience gave us a new found respect for this traditional Japanese food. The wagashi we made was very yummy too!

Our mochi making class exceeded our expectations! Satoko was so patient with us and our young children. Learning about the history of mochi was such a unique touch to the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed all the mochi we made -- we even had plenty to snack on later! We are already looking forward to making mochi now that we're home :)

Only two of us in the class - lots of personal attention. Learned the art of making mochi. Our teacher and her assistant were great. Also, the instructions to get to the class were clear and detailed.
