The sushi- and maki-making experience was everything I had hoped for. The venue is perfect with spectacular views of the Sumida river, the Asahi beer building and the Skytree. The staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and fun. They introduced the making of sushi and maki in easy-to-follow steps. Our creations were beautiful and delicious. Highly recommended!

Sushi-Making Experience in Tokyo (Cooking Class in Asakusa)

The chef at Sushi Hajime was incredibly friendly and approachable, completely breaking my stereotype of serious sushi chefs. His warm personality made the experience fly by! The ingredients were top-notch, and the chef let us explore and taste each one, which was a real treat. The venue was spotless and conveniently located in Shibuya, just a short walk from the station. The sushi was absolutely delicious, and the matcha mousse dessert was unforgettable. Overall, a fantastic experience that I highly recommend!

This sushi-making class was very insightful and interesting. It was a unique opportunity to be able to enter a real sushi restaurant and learn about sushi-making from a knowledgeable chef. The nigiri turned out delicious and the tasty tea and dessert were an amazing highlight! Thank you so much for a great experience.

Sushi Making Class & Sake Tasting in Asakusa, Tokyo
Cooking Classes
This was my first time to try making sushi at a sushi restaurant. Needless to say, of course, sushi was delicious but the tea and sake were also exceptional in this luxurious, hidden gem of a restaurant with a friendly chef Mr. Takahoshi. Every detail, from the sushi to the tea, sake, and tableware, reflected meticulous attention to detail. I even got to wear the sushi chef’s hat and white coat, which made me feel like a real sushi chef. The chef taught me how to make sushi, and although it looked easy when he did it, I realised how difficult it actually is. It gave me a deep appreciation for the skill required to make sushi, which is truly a craft, culture, and history that Japan proudly shares with the world. The sushi made by the master was far more delicious than what I made myself. It was absolutely a fun and precious experience!
