We had a lovely evening with Yoko-san making gyoza and ramen. She was well prepared for the evening and was able to accommodate a shellfish sensitivity and vegetarian request so we made ramen with a vegan base which was very tasty. Yoko-san was very patient with our gyoza making and although we had a few malformed gyoza in the mix the taste was just as good. It was a fun evening and offered a great chance to try something different while we were in Japan.

Yoko-sensei was absolutely amazing! She had a wealth of knowledge about Japanese and worldly cuisine, and we would have happily sat there and spoken to her for hours. She put us at ease, and was keen to hear about our own food culture. She was incredibly helpful and encouraging whilst we were cooking, and we're pretty sure that Osaka-style okonomiyaki will be a staple at home now. Domo arigatou gozaumasu!

Wonderful experience! We booked a sushi making class for 2 (private), and had a wonderful time. We got invited into the home of Saeko, the chef who taught us, and saw a side of sushi making we hadn’t before. Saeko taught us how to make two different types of rolls, nigiri, miso soup and tamagoyaki. We learned every part of making the rolls, from preparing the ingredients and cutting the fish to fill the rolls and rolling them. Throughout the lesson she was very professional, and made sure to explain every little process, so we could do it ourselves. The class was through and through exceptional, and we will be recommending it to all of our friends and family. Definitely a 10/10 experience!!

This was one of our favourite evenings ever! We had the most wonderful experience , learning about Japanese food and it’s origins and history, trying different types of ingredients, making our food and eating it in beautiful company. Yoko is a wonderful human and her passion for food and meeting travellers is inspirational. She is kind hearted and exciting to be around. I think this evening will stay in our memories forever. I haven’t even mentioned the food!!! We love sushi back home but this is something else!!! The freshest of ingredients used and we could have eaten the whole meal over again. Would highly recommend. Enjoyed every single minute of the experience. Left feeling gratitude and humbled. Thank you for inviting us into your beautiful home.
