Experience Details

Learn how to make one of Japan’s most loved comfort foods in this hands-on ramen cooking class in Osaka. With so many regional styles of ramen across the country, this class focuses on a classic favorite: shoyu ramen, known for its clear soy sauce–based broth and well-balanced flavor.

Your instructor, Yoko-sensei, will guide you step by step through the process of making ramen, along with two popular side dishes often found at ramen shops. You’ll learn how to prepare gyoza, juicy pan-fried dumplings traditionally filled with pork, as well as tamagoyaki, a softly layered Japanese rolled omelet. Vegetarian and vegan gyoza options are available upon request at the time of booking.

Once the cooking is done, sit down to enjoy the meal you’ve prepared together, paired with relaxed conversation about Japanese food, culture, and travel. The experience wraps up with a light dessert, leaving you full and satisfied.

More than a cooking class, this experience offers a glimpse into everyday life in Osaka. Yoko has over five years of teaching experience and has guided more than a thousand guests in Japan and overseas. A licensed tour guide fluent in Japanese, English, and Mandarin, she brings both culinary knowledge and cultural insight to the table, creating a welcoming and personal experience.
