Kaori was an amazing teacher and warm host. She first took us on a tour of a grocery store and presented items that are unknown to most Americans or foreigners to Japan. Although I am not vegetarian, I found the class enlightening in that the dishes we produced were flavorful, rich and satisfying despite not having meat. I left with some great insight and valued memories.
