Aya was a wonderful instructor and patiently explained the history and significance of the tea ceremony in Japanese culture. After first illustrating the process Aya then gave us my wife and I the opportunity to prepare tea for each other which was a great experience. After the ceremony was concluded we noticed a wall full of tea bowls which Aya allowed us to purchase from and it was comforting to know we could go home with a high quality souvenir from local craftsmen.

My wife and I had an amazing time with KT on the Mystery Bike Tour! She gave us a look at a side of Japan we would never have found without her guidance. Not only did she show us some quirky sites (I won’t spoil them for you) but we rode through some very peaceful areas as well. We never expected to find such serene locations only a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya Crossing (15-20 min travel). KT is so cool! She tailored the experience around our dietary preferences and fitness level. The food she introduced us to was delicious and not too heavy for the long bike ride. Her english is exceptional, and the information she shared was very interesting. Honestly, this was one of our favorite experiences during our 2-week stay in Japan. We are from the USA. If you are looking for a true Japanese experience outside of the typical tourist traps, book this tour! Especially if you are looking for a bit of exercise during your trip. We plan to book with KT again the next time we are in Tokyo.
