We have watched numerous byFood videos featuring Shizuka, so when a spot opened up on her tour the day before our flight to Japan, we were so excited! She is a wonderful tour guide and a lovely person in general. We went to some spots on Takeshita street and a restaurant for dinner which was much more hidden away. Along the way, she taught us some history of Harajuku and about some of the more recent trends in Tokyo youth culture. She then taught us how to make Okonomiyaki and another funky dish with cod roe and we all had a few beers together, followed by crepes. A very lucky treat to meet a wonderful, charismatic person who is super knowledgeable about a very exciting area of Tokyo. Do not miss out if you can find a date she is available!
