Had an amazing time at CHU’s ramen cooking workshop this afternoon! Everything was really well organized – a lot of the prep work was already done, so we could jump right in and start cooking without any stress. The setup was fun and approachable, with clear instructions and a relaxed vibe throughout. There was a nice balance between learning, cooking, and just enjoying the experience. And the best part? The ramen turned out absolutely delicious – way beyond anything you’d get from an instant pack. Highly recommend this if you’re into good food and want a fun, hands-on afternoon activity!

We were met on time at Cora Coffee. Her class was set up nicely in her home. She spoke wonderful English and answered all our questions. She was very encouraging in our attempts and onigiri and Japanese only making ability or lack thereof. The food was wonderful. I would highly recommend this for anyone who loves Japanese food. And your breakfast is taken care of for the day.

Chef Chiaki is a very personable trainer who met us on time at the agreed point; despite what she says, she is proficient in English which made it a lot easier too. She demonstrated a good knowledge of the products we were going to use, and what may be available in Australia. She was able to tell us which alternatives could be available (if the originals are not). The Udon noodles were so easy to make, and it was all over oh-so-quickly. Thank you Chiaki for a lovely and educational morning.

Our group had so much fun with Yuka and her associates. All of the prep work was done ahead of time so that we were ready to go when we got there. She took care to make sure it was a positive experience for everyone. While the food was beautiful, it seemed possible to prepare it in a home kitchen as long as you have access to the ingredients. We communicated easily in English. You do a lot of forming the final products, but not as much of the actual cooking, so it is a little less hands on than some classes I have been to in the past. However, I don't think it would be possible to make so many dishes in just 2.5 hours otherwise. Yuka does send a Google Maps address ahead of time. It is the correct one as a sort of demonstration kitchen of the restaurant. It is not, however, the actual restaurant, so don't get confused and go to the wrong place.
