Don is a proud Takayama resident and business owner, operating his own guest house, izakaya, and tavern. Due to his experience in the culinary industry, he has vast knowledge of regional cuisine, which he shares with his series of Takayama-specialty cooking classes. A certified cook with bilingual language abilities (English and Japanese), Don enjoys sharing Japanese cooking with international travelers and welcomes chefs of all skill levels to his experiences.
