Ramen Noodle Making Experience in Kyoto
Cooking Classes
The Ramen Making Experience was absolutely fantastic and highly recommend especially for those with kids! We are a family of 4 with our youngest being a 6 year old girl and everyone enjoyed the experience. The staff who assisted us, Yaya and Patty, we very fun, kind and professional, making a great experience even better! They did a great job at spitting the jobs for everyone and making the experience fun and exciting. The ramen afterwards was very very good! While the experience takes about an hour, give yourself some more time to eat afterwards. All in all, highly recommended and worth your time!

Ramen Noodle Making Experience in Kyoto
Cooking Classes
My friend and I LOVED this cooking class. It was our 2nd/3rd time to Kyoto so adding in cooking classes was a great, unique experience since we didn't have all the temples and bamboo forest on the agenda for this visit. Their English is FANTASTIC so really easy to understand and follow along. They prepare a lot of the measuring and things so you really focus on the cooking part of it and you can get to eat your creations throughout. You also walk away with all the recipes and you can even buy some of the Japanese specific cooking supplies there if you need (grating plate, sesame grinding bowl, etc.) Everything was delicious and I am excited to replicate these recipes at home and maybe turn them into my lunch bentos for work! Definitely add this to your trip itinerary! I would totally take it again if the menu changed over time.

We got very lucky and were the only 2 people who signed up for the day so we basically got a private sushi-making lesson. Hide (the teacher) was very kind, patient, easy to understand English and led a very calm experience class. The quality of the fish was amazing and Hide (pronunciation: He-day) explained what each fish was when it wasn't something classic like tuna or salmon. We loved learning how to make nigiri and teka-maki rolls, and we definitely think we could do it ourselves at home. We even went to an omakase sushi after this lesson and noticed the techniques of the sushi chef and what we learned in this lesson. Also, you don't have to worry about coming away with pictures. Hide will take photos for you throughout the experience and airdrop them before you leave so your cooking experience is sanitary. I think it's a fun, unique and tasty experience for Kyoto! Highly recommend!
