Aki's cooking class was an unforgettable experience for my wife and me. Aki wasn't just a cooking teacher, she felt like a friend. The atmosphere was incredibly warm and homely, making us feel instantly welcomed. Her expert guidance and friendly demeanor transformed the cooking process into a delightful adventure. We particularly loved preparing yuzu-flavored fried chicken and learning about local customs. We are still in touch with Aki, sharing our culinary adventures. This experience not only enriched our cooking skills but also deepened our appreciation for Japanese culture. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Kyoto!

What a blast this class was for our family! We all had a chance to do everything and our instructors were charming, spoke English well and I wish I could remember their names! They made a great team! Our ramen lunch was the best one I’ve had yet - yes, the noodles were perfect but the broth was delicious! No Ramen, No Life! 👍👍 Thank you!

Today, we made more than fresh Udon, we made memories. Kimmy led us through making our own Udon with joy and enthusiasm. They had a translation device that made communication easy. Our group of 6 had an amazing time. The area is surrounded by beautiful tea fields in this remote town. I highly recommend this experience.

Our group had so much fun with Yuka and her associates. All of the prep work was done ahead of time so that we were ready to go when we got there. She took care to make sure it was a positive experience for everyone. While the food was beautiful, it seemed possible to prepare it in a home kitchen as long as you have access to the ingredients. We communicated easily in English. You do a lot of forming the final products, but not as much of the actual cooking, so it is a little less hands on than some classes I have been to in the past. However, I don't think it would be possible to make so many dishes in just 2.5 hours otherwise. Yuka does send a Google Maps address ahead of time. It is the correct one as a sort of demonstration kitchen of the restaurant. It is not, however, the actual restaurant, so don't get confused and go to the wrong place.
