This was a 5-star experience all around. We rarely splurge on meals like this, but En Steakhouse did not disappoint. The beef is sublime, and the awards on the countertop prove it. The teppanyaki experience was a lot of fun, watching your food get cooked by a master chef. Each side dish complemented the meal, and nothing overpowered the main attraction: Kobe wagyu steak. We especially appreciated the bonus desert in honour's of our 10th wedding anniversary.
We had no issues when we arrived with our reservation, in fact, they were ready when we arrived 10 minutes early. The directions to the restaurant were spot on. I'd have never found the elevator on Google.
Finally, they completely accommodated a shellfish allergy with thoughtful substitutions. My plate was of equal size to my partners (a rarity with substitutions). Never once did I feel that it was an inconvenience, which I appreciated most.
Overall, this was a fantastic, once in a lifetime experience for us.

Incredible experience. Chef had limited English so we conversed using google translate. Food was fantastic, including the items other than the Kobe beef. The asparagus soup stood out especially. Will recommend to all I know going through Japan.

What an incredible experience at Kobe En Steakhouse! We were greeted warmly and although early, we were sat at the bar and made to feel welcome. We were assigned our own chef for our specific Kobe beef tasting experience, and he was absolutely brilliant. Despite the language barrier, we communicated through the love of food, and he loved making us happy. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth the trip. We had a fantastic evening, and they even gave us a souvenir photo to take home! We loved every minute of it.
