Experience Details

Step into the calm of a traditional Japanese tea room and let the aroma of sencha green tea welcome you.

Master Yoneyama, a certified tea ceremony instructor and expert in ikebana and Noh, will guide you through the refreshing and uplifting ritual of sencha, brewed from leaves rather than ground like matcha.

Your host will lead you into a serene tatami room, where you can learn about the etiquette, history, and culture of the Japanese tea ceremony. You will watch the careful preparation of tea, enjoy a cup of sencha paired with a piece of wagashi, and have the opportunity to brew tea yourself under the instructor’s guidance.

This experience follows the ryurei style, using chairs and tables, so you can enjoy the ceremony comfortably without having to sit on the floor.

Throughout the session, you can take commemorative photos to remember your visit.

(In case the schedule is full, sometimes other teachers will take on the role as a substitute)
