This Ginza favorite takes a veggie-heavy approach to French dining, with results that are as healthy as they are delicious.
Restaurant Details
The moustachioed chef of Le jardin des saveurs, Keiji Nakazawa, got the name for his Ginza restaurant from his friend, a fellow restaurateur in France. It translates to English as “flavored garden” and represents the vegetable-centric approach of the cooking here.
Nakazawa-san grew up on a farm in Nagano, so he has known the importance of good quality vegetables since a young age. Nowadays, he focuses on providing hearty and healthy dishes which balance top quality vegetables with high-grade meat and seafood, in dishes such as beef cheek terrine with roasted red onion.
The wine list here is as long as your arm, with prices ranging from 8,000 to 240,000 yen for a bottle. Though the upper end of that list is prohibitively extortionate, you’ll be happy to know that the food menu itself is refreshingly reasonable for a restaurant of this caliber.
