No matter what time of year you visit Showa Kinen Park, you will always be welcomed with gorgeous flowers and color-changing trees. From cherry blossoms, to pink cosmos, to red ginko trees, Showa Kinen Park will always offer something special every time you visit.

Opened in 1983 for Emperor Showa’s 50th anniversary, this park offers many experiences within its 160 hectares. Bring family, friends, and even pets along to enjoy a nice picnic at the various areas spanning the park. Visit the lake on a nice summer day and ride pedal boats, have a barbeque, and cool down at the waterpark! Stop by the Memorial Museum to learn about the history of Emperor Showa. Other attractions include a bonsai museum and a large outdoor area for kids to enjoy. Bike rentals are available in the park for those who want a good workout or to feel the breeze as they ride through the breathtaking park.
