This one star Michelin place nestled in the basement of a building in the back alley in Meguro is not just a simple tempura restaurant for sure. While the lightly battered and perfectly fried tempura were the main cast, Chef Masahiko has also assembled a menu that was perfectly balanced with delicious light starters that showcased the seasonal ingredients in Japan (some are native only to Japan) and the most refreshing dessert to end the night. My favourite had to be the tendon with the beautiful sweet and salty sauce on the mixed tempura with rice, simply perfect...
