Toshiaki Okazaki, the owner of this top traditional kappo restaurant in Sendai, gained his skills working at his family’s traditional Japanese inn. Nowadays, he’s one of the city’s most successful restaurateurs, with three high-end eateries to his name.
The kitchen at this branch is in the hands of a young disciple, who serves up seasonal Japanese dishes with the same skill and dedication as the owner himself. The specialty dishes are delicious sashimi appetizers, and claypot rice bowls with premium seasonal ingredients such as matsutake mushrooms in fall.
