The name is Soso, but the quality of food definitely isn’t! This traditional Japanese restaurant near Daikanyama Station focuses on the dishes and ingredients of Goto, in Nagasaki Prefecture. In a laid-back but stylish atmosphere, they serve dishes that are kind to both the body and the palate. This means fresh salads, fresh seafood, and delicious organic curry dishes.
However, their speciality is traditionally-brewed matcha, and the wagashi sweets which typically accompany this powdered green tea in traditional tea ceremony. Wagashi are as ornate as they are delicious — sweet packages usually made of rice flour or mochi (crushed rice paste) and nuts or red bean paste.
To try their multi-course set meals, reservation is essential. This is the best way to sample a complete range of delicious dishes and sweets.
