The cellarmen of Casato Prime Donne are all women, including the winemaker, a unique feature in Italy that makes this winery a flag for pink winemaking.

The frescoes among the barrels enrich the tour with information on the history of Montalcino and in the trinaia a representation of sounds and videos transports the visitor into the true spirit of the Borgo di Montalcino

Finally, the art installations among the barrels, around the cellar and among the vineyards represent a permanent trace of the Casato Prime Donne Award as well as stand out as an example of Land Art

What You’ll Experience

In the Casato Prime Donne cellar there are not only barrels and fermentation tanks but also panels and videos on the history and traditions of Montalcino. In the Sangiovese BIO vineyards there are not only vines but also dedications of illustrious women and contemporary art installations such as the stars of the Brunello harvest, the Modernacolo created for Carla Fendi, the frame for taking selfies ... For this reason, the visit to the Casato Prime Donne is different from any other and the itinerant tasting allows you to take a journey that enriches you with sensations and emotions. Red, 1 tasting from the barrel, Brunello di Montalcino. Brunello Reserve; the last two tastings are accompanied by pieces of bread and sausage. The experience lasts about an hour and allows you to see the places of vinification and maturation in barrels, the organic vineyards of Sangiovese and the artistic installations. The explanations introduce visitors to the history of Montalcino and the production secrets of Brunello.
