Experience the magic of soft serve ice cream made with baked sweet potato, a combination hard to find outside of Japan!

Restaurant Details

Mitsuya serves baked sweet potatoes with all sorts of cold, sweet desserts including soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, and shaved ice. The baked sweet potato can also be ordered independently. The two main types of potatoes are moist and roasted. The moist type has a strong sweetness from the sweet potato itself and the honey that it has been soaked in. The roasted sweet potato has a chestnut-like scent and is moderately creamy. For a high-quality baked potato, the maximum price is only 500 yen. The hot, baked sweet potatoes are great on their own, but when served with cold sweet items like soft serve ice cream, the result is a delectable summer snack. The shop has a modern cafe look and an English menu for foreign visitors.
