Conveniently located next to the zen temple of Ryoan-ji, this tea house offers a private tea ceremony in an unbeatable location. The building is over 100 years old and features a stunning Japanese-style garden. The delicate balance of the house and the surrounding greenery make an ideal place for a zen experience. The tea ceremony is a peaceful, restorative art that will fully immerse you in Japanese zen culture. Learn all about the culture and history of the tea ceremony while enjoying the beautiful view and peaceful atmosphere. Your host will guide you through the ceremony, and you’ll get a chance to make your own bowl of matcha, Japanese frothy green tea, with a bamboo whisk.
