Visit 2 Wineries and the oldest olive tree in the world on this semi-private afternoon tour.

Sample 11 wines under the guidance of a wine professional and enjoy traditional snacks.

Learn the extensive history of Cretan wine on the drive west to the rolling hills of Kolympari.

Learn the steps to taste wine like a professional to enhance your tasting experience.

Walk through the vineyards and learn how grapes our grown.

Guides are native English speakers and wine professionals.

Duration is 5 hours. Pick up is at 13:00 at the Municipal Market parking lot (east of the building, Plateia Markopoulou). Drop off is at 18:00.

What You’ll Experience

Spend an afternoon in the Cretan countryside exploring wine and olive oil. This is a great immersion into Cretan wine. Visit two family-owned wineries, walk through vineyards (photo op!), learn how to taste wine, enjoy 11 different wines with snacks. The wineries make a great mix of wines from local indigenous grape varieties as well as international grapes you'll be familiar with. There's also a stop at the oldest olive tree in the world. Your guide is a true wine professional. We are wine people doing tours, not tour people doing wine. This is an educational experience and lots of fun, too.
