Connecting People One Bite at a Time

What a fantastic experience. We met Bruce on a rainy evening and he still found us an excellent yatai where we enjoyed wagyu beef. Unagu (conger eel) tempura and other delicious dishes. Deciding the rain had eliminated some of our yatai choices we went hunting for other options - and found two off the hook gyoza restaurants. One was a favorite of Bruce and the other a recommendation from the Yatai chef. They were both excellent in different ways. We finished the evening with a delicious bowl of fukuoka's signature ramen and a pleasant walk home. Bruce's knowledge of all things food and Japan was impeccable and his ability to assist us in finding the best choices for our taste despite the weather was exceptional. 10 out of 10. Would recommend .

It was so goooood!!!! Good host, sumo was awesome. Food yummy and it was a really good evening!

We had so much fun eating and drinking our way through the local hotspots feeling like we were one of them. Hero was a wealth of knowledge and such a lovely host we felt like one of his Friends being shown his favourite restaurants while visiting. Will 100% be on another tour when we return. Can't recommend him high enough.

We had a great experience with our host Kaori. We enjoyed learning about the tea ceremony tradition as well as being instructed on how to make our own matcha tea. This was a fun experience!

Incredible meal from start to finish. Such unique flavors and expertise was shown. Loved everything about this place.

What can I say?? We wanted an authentic, traditional Japanese meal in an authentic, traditional Japanese restaurant and we were not disappointed. This place was as amazing as the food. Small and intimate Just 6 customers at the bar facing the kitchen, watching and eating as the magic took place. I think 9 courses..so so good!! Family run and such lovely people. I want to give it 100 stars!! ...Book well in advance of your trip to make sure you too can have this wonderful experience. Ralph Martin.

Perfect and i love to be back again and i will make sure that i am perfectly healthy when i am back again next time (i was so sick because of my medication and felt very sad i didn’t finish the Omakase Journey)
