I had the absolute pleasure of attending the fermentation class today! It was incredibly eye-opening to see how knowledge of miso and other traditional elements can be beautifully applied to everyday cooking. From appetizers and mains to desserts, I was truly amazed by the versatility of these fermented ingredients. The instructor was exceptionally patient and attentive, taking the time to answer all of my questions with great care. I highly recommend this class to anyone looking to elevate their culinary journey and experience the true magic of fermentation!

Loved the cooking class with Midori. I am gluten intolerant, not coeliac, she was able to accommodate and made sure all food was safe. We made onigiri, gyoza and katsudon, everything was delicious! Midori San is a great host and we had a lovely chat about a lot of things including Japanese cuisine and places to visit in or around Kyoto. I can definitely recommend!

This is the best class for anyone who loves cooking. It is also a new and fun class for those who don't like cooking. Also, this cafe, which hosts this tour, is very friendly and caring to everyone. It has various souvenirs made with kome rice, and it is a very nice cafe that is eco-friendly. I will try to make onigiri in the way they taught me. If you go to Tokyo, Japan, you should definitely take this class. Not only will you have fun, you can also eat your own delicious onigiri. この店最高 :)

Our friend group did this cooking class together on our first trip to Japan and the ladies were both so sweet and helpful. Everything we learned to make was much easier than expected and the printed instructions are so easy for us to follow at home for a delicious traditional meal.

Discover Vegan Miso Soup Delights

Welcome to a world where the subtle flavors and nutritious benefits of miso soup meet the creativity of vegan cuisine. Our vegan miso soup casual cooking classes offer a delightful blend of culture and flavor, perfect for those looking to explore or enhance their culinary skills. Miso soup, a staple in Japanese dining, traditionally combines fermented soybean paste with dashi (a kind of fish stock). However, in our classes, you'll learn how to craft delicious vegan miso soups without any animal products, using creative alternatives that preserve the umami-rich flavor of this beloved dish.

Perfect Your Vegan Miso Soup Skills

Whether you're a kitchen novice or an experienced home chef, our classes are designed to accommodate all skill levels. Under the guidance of skilled instructors, you'll dive into the art of vegan substitutions. Learn to use miso paste made from beans and grains like chickpeas or rice, and discover stock made with kombu (seaweed) or shiitake mushrooms to achieve similar depth and complexity in flavor. Our classes focus on hands-on learning, allowing you to experiment with different ingredients such as tofu, sea vegetables, and seasonal vegetables to create a miso soup that is both classic in taste yet unique to your personal preference. Explore the versatility of miso soup by incorporating various ingredients like spinach, carrots, and even root vegetables, led by expert instructors who will ensure you enhance both your skills and confidence in vegan cooking.

An Enjoyable and Educational Experience

Vegan miso soup casual cooking classes are more than just cooking sessions; they are an opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culinary traditions while promoting healthy eating habits. These classes provide a relaxed and friendly environment where you can meet like-minded individuals, share tips, and bond over a shared love for innovative food creation. You'll not only gain practical cooking skills but also an understanding of the nutritional benefits of the ingredients, helping you to integrate vegan and Japanese cuisine into your everyday life. By the end of the class, you'll walk away with new recipes, valuable nutritional insights, and, most importantly, the ability to create a delectable bowl of vegan miso soup that you can enjoy over and over again.
